Quartz Countertops
Below are links to care & maintenance tips at our quartz suppliers websites. Follow the manufactures instructions so your new countertops stay as nice as the day they were installed.
Marble Countertops
Marble countertops require consistent care to prevent staining and etching, as the naturalstone is both porous and acid-sensitive. Daily cleaning with mild, pH-neutral soap andwater is recommended, followed by thorough drying to prevent water spots. Seal thesurface every 6–12 months to protect against stains.
Daily Care & Maintenance
- Clean Immediately: Blot, don't wipe, spills immediately, especially acidic substances like wine, coƯee, lemon juice, or tomato sauce.
- Use pH-Neutral Cleaners: Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, vinegar, and lemon-based cleaners. Use cleaners specifically for natural stone or mild dish soap.
- Use Protection: Use coasters, trivets, and cutting boards to avoid heat damage, scratching, and acidic stains.
- Dry Completely: After cleaning, dry with a soft cloth to avoid water stains.
Preventative Maintenance
- Seal Regularly: Apply a high-quality stone sealer every 6–12 months. A simple test is to pour water on the surface; if it doesn't bead up, it is time to reseal.
- Avoid Abrasives: Do not use scouring pads or harsh cleaners, which can scratch and dull the polished surface.
