Dekton® Countertops

Dekton is a sophisticated mixture of more than 20 minerals extracted from nature. Dekton is manufactured using exclusive TSP technology, a process able to sinter mineral particles making them bond with each other. Dekton emulates in a few hours what nature creates over thousands of years using an exclusive technological process developed by Cosentino. Dekton is tougher than quartz and more scratch-resistant than porcelain

Sintered Stone

When selecting a countertop material, people usually think of quartz or granite, however, there’s a new material, sintered stone. Sintered stone is popular in Europe and has taken over much of the countertop market. Sintered stone is simalar to porcelain, but is subjected to much higher pressure and heat during manufacturing, resulting in a metamorphic process to bind natural materials without resins or binders. By taking natural minerals and processing them with this method, the end result is a beautiful and highly durable countertop surface.

Advantages of Dekton®

Scratch and impact resistant: Dekton’s resistance to impact and scratching make it ideal for use as a countertop material. It’s hardness is equal to that of quartz.

Abrasion Resistant: Dekton withstands abrasion better than granite.

Water and stain resistant: Dekton is a very low porosity material which makes it resistant to staining by liquids. It can be cleaned with standard cleaning products.

Tempeture Resistant: Dekton has a low rate of thermal expansion, making it ideal for surfaces exposed to sudden tempreture changes.

UV ray resistant: Dekton’s color does not fade or degrade over time when exposed to UV radiation.
